Understanding essential marketing concepts and tools is crucial to fostering a relationship between designers and marketers. This session will provide insight into how design adds value to marketing--and vice versa--by designing for the customer experience. Attendees will leave with basic understanding of topics that will be covered in the HML track, specifically the fundamentals that link marketing and design.

•    Putting heart into design leads to a deeper and more meaningful user experience that will encourage users to stay committed to your brand.
•    Successful rebranding goes beyond new logos and color palettes - evolving a brand from the inside out is what can ultimately deliver a stronger UX.
•    Experimenting with creative approaches to reach your audience when paid media has taken your brand as far is it can.
