As president of branding and design agency Shikatani Lacroix, Jean-Pierre Lacroix specializes in brand strategy for corporate, packaging and retail clients. Lacroix has spent the past 35 years helping organizations see the opportunities in the challenges versus the challenges in the opportunities. He is an expert at providing clients with results-driven solutions for their product and service needs, as demonstrated in his work for companies such as Cineplex Entertainment, TD Bank Group, PepsiCo Canada, OfficeMax, Second Cup Intl., Toronto Blue Jays and ConAgra Foods. In 1990, Lacroix coined the phrase “Blink Factor” to describe how consumers take only a split second to make a purchase decision. Championing the roles that design and branding play in building connections with consumers, he studies consumer purchase behaviors to help brands connect with consumers at the moment of purchase. A thought leader in the design and marketing industry, Lacroix has served as president of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers and as a board member for various industry associations and organizations. He has authored several papers, and has been quoted in numerous branding and design articles. He is also author of the book, “Belonging Experiences: Designing Engaged Brands,” and in 2001, he co-authored the book “The Business of Graphic Design,” which has sold more than 10,000 copies.
